Should just shove? im not sure what the best play was, theory wise. besides just shoving without much thought, its a tough spot I think

I would raise 240 then if flat called, shove any flop, if reraised pre I would call, since you really arent going to fold after putting in 1/3 of your stack in pre.

If you arent comfortable taking a stand with AJ, then fold.

You could always just shove. I dont see any reason why that would be a bad play, since you have less than 10 bb and the shortest stack.

Is limp re-raising all in a horrible idea?

I would say yes, since if you limp, it allows other marginal hands to call. If you raise, especially since you are short stacked, people are not going to make a loose call against you since there is no value for them to risk 240 to win only an additional 500 or so unless they hold something good. Ideally you might get one caller, hopefully the BB where you have to think even if you miss the flop, chances are they have too and you can take down the pot. The reality is, if you decide you are going to play the pot, you arent folding in pretty much any situation, since you will be getting better than 2-1 on your last 510. Better to raise or shove to limit the field.
