Don't know how this guy had been playing but he has the big stack at table. He is also in early position. So his hand range should be some of this board. Time to check raise him as a call tells him you have something. Pot bet him or alittle bit more. Hope he threebets and get em in there. Just very unlucky turn and river. Like I said you would have a better feel for how he plays or was playing but definately get more money in there on that flop.

with broadway cards your opponent oftens has something that he can't get away from, check raising the flop or check raising the turn here would have been a better play. unlucky river obviously. But recognizing that your opponent is possibly strong when you are stronger is the time to get all his chips in the middle via check raise or betting out.

i personally liked the check call on the flop. i would've then check raised for all my chips on the turn, though. your move on the turn turned out to be the right one, with the unlucky river card hitting. consider yourself fortunate for not being felted in this situation. if he had moved, you would've had no choice but to call your chips off. sometimes good luck looks alot like bad luck.

I check raise the flop but shut down after turn if he calls. He raised in early position, he could have had TT or 99 but should fold to your check raise (also minraise would be weird on these cards but min raising stupid to me anyway). He could have something like AK/AQ/AJ and calling your raise, but with his minraise in early position he wants action but not alot so I could easily put him on AA KK QQ. He probably folds his small mid pair gut shot on your check raise but who knows. I think you have to raise mostly because two clubs on board and he also might have been semi bluffing (bets about half pot so his implied pot odds not horrible if he has a cc and a gut shot or something) which if turn was club you then have some really hard decisions if he bets it.

Funny thing about seeing the cards after you act....its alot easier to assess what could have been done differently but if river doesnt come that way you win a nice pot. He had 12 outs after turn (9 to win)...so statistically if hand was played again you would have won 4 other times if that cheers you up.
